Heaven received an new angel on May 25, 2017. Alice Mary Klinger-Settles passed into heaven at Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont, Florida at 9:54AM.
A Celebration of Life is on June 10, 2017 at 2:30PM at Greeneway Church located at 3400 Hunters Creek Blvd. Orlando, Fl. 32837. Donations may be made to your favorite charity.
Alice was born on August 29, 1951 in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Willis H. and Patricia L. Poorman. She graduated from State College Area High School in 1969. She retired from the Penn State Registrars Office after 25 years. She moved to Kissimmee, Fl. in 1995. She was working at Destination MCO as Director of Meetings and Events.
Alice had a passion for helping those in need, regardless of the need. She often spoke about retiring so she could do it full time. She was adept at solving problems and calm under pressure. She could light up any room with her smile. Alice was an active member of Greeneway Church in Orlando, Fl. working for and worshiping Jesus Christ. She enjoyed collecting and listening to music boxes and angels. She loved to bake desserts and watching them being eaten.
Alice is survived by her husband Dale Settles, mother Patricia L. Poorman of State College, Pa., daughter Michele (Mike) Weaver of Centre Hall, Pa., son Willis P. Klinger of Aaronsburg, Pa., and brother Mike Poorman of Port Matilda, Pa., four grandchildren and a great grandson due in August. Her father Willis H. Poorman preceded her in 1976.
