Hi I have great memories of my friend Jack I was a player in Nashville backing up artists and back up singing which Jack and I had in common I worked for Ken Stilts and when I wasn’t playing Ken would tell me about the bus I was driving was one of Jacks busses and that he and Jack were poker playing buddies from way back as the stories I listened to a lot of money changed hands but I thought it must have been a big fishing stories but I thought must be true I took Ken to Florida towing his motorcycle in one of Jacks single buses which Ken said I was his best driver because he rode with us he called Jack and asked if he needed a driver for a bit I took a bus from tampa to your place Caleb and met the legend he first put me in the apt gave me use of the van in which he said just keep tank filled went to steak and lobster buffet never forget I got back and he said it was his neighbors birthday and asked if I would play bass at the party when I saw his set up I said hell yes I drove for him a few trips that’s just one of the stories I had with that great guy Jack thanks Caleb and family for the time I was able to spendwith him may he have a great rest knowing that he will save me a chair at the poker table with Ken and the other opry boys and of course lots of pretty angels around and that big grin on his face. I just now learned of Jack's passing. I'm so very sorry for your loss. Jack was a kind man and always had a twinkle in his eye. Jack helped me thru a very rough spot in my life. If it wasn't for his help, I might have had a very bad and sad outcome. Thanks Jack. You'll be missed.. RIP

I just got word that my believed friend Jack Calhoun passed away . As fate would have it the last time I spoke with Jack was about four months ago just before he passed . You see I have been keeping contact with Jack for the past 15 years at least 3 times per year . I have known Jack since the early 90s.
Jack was larger than life for all of us that new him and He lived Christ and I know has a special place in the Lirds heart.
I have so many great Jack Calhouun stories I wouldn't know where to start . One thing I know was of his generosity and loyalty . I introduced every friend I ever had to Jack and all knew quickly he was a special character that had
character. The true story of when Jack sprung Jerry from federal prison a movie should be made. I always told Hack Ivwanted the movie rights. We all I'm certain miss the great Jack Calhoun , his spirit certainly lives on and one day again we will see him in Christ kingdom . It will be a great reunion.
Heaven is a better place with Jack, my best to Caleb and family and of course Jerry whom I got to know very well .
Long live Jack Calhoun . I love you . Greg Carpousis .

Jack was always so very generous and encouraging to me throughout the last 38 years. From sending his family out on my tours to drive me and my family, to joining me on stage when I played in Kissimee, he was a larger than life figure to all who met him. He invented modern tour travel, and I owe my health and longevity to him and everyone who worked with him. I will never forget him.

Everyone will miss Jack. One of the most generous and giving person I have ever known. Everyone has a "Jack story". If there was going to be a 10 hour eulogy at a funeral, it would be at Jack Calhoun's. Everyone has been serenaded by Jack. He provided entertainment at every nursing home I attend. My vision of heaven is to see Jack riding in a golf cart playing golf by himself at nearly sunset being accompanied only by his dog. Everyone will miss Jack.
We love you

Jack will be missed by all of his classmates from Osceola High Schools class of 1958. I would run into Jack and Jerry when they toured for the USO overseas and in the USA. Jack would come to the OHS alumni gatherings at The Catfish House each month and sing for us and put a smile on everyones face. I'll miss you Jack. See you in the next life brother. Kenny.

I haven’t seen Jack in awhile. I met him through my Dad, Al Harris. My uncle Bill Harris, drove for Jack for a number of years. My dad and Tony Harris did occasionally. Sometimes it’s just nice to know they are here. The comment in obituary made me smile at the end, “Now God gets to hear him sing and play after he’s finished hitting on all the angels”. My favorite was when he told Dad he should be ashamed because he stole a star from the sky and put them in my eyes. He will be missed by us even though I hadn’t seen him since he came to daddy’s funeral. Love you Jack. There will be a special place in heaven for you

I am saying prayers for your family. I know the grief of losing a father and can barely comprehend the sadness of losing a twin. I have a sweet memory of Mr. Calhoun telling me a story from the mid 50’s about my dad (Buster Kenton) doing intros for the twins when he worked as a DJ for the country music station in Kissimmee. At the time it was relayed to me I did not comprehend the Calhoun were then teenagers. The music in Heaven is surely glorious. May the melody of angels and the love of our Lord bless you. I am so shocked and sorry to hear of Jack's passing. He was one of the most generous and caring people I have or will ever know in my life. He was a lot of fun to be around and I had the honor of working with him and his brother Jerry in Kissimmee with my Free Spirit Band at a bank grand opening about 20 years ago. I ran into him while on a cruise and was shocked that he would palm me $100 bills every time he saw me. He made me feel special, but he was giving other women he knew 100 dollar bills also on that cruise. He even out staged "The Singing Maitre" at the dinner show! He lived life to the hilt! I know he will be missed here on earth by the many lives he touched. I am one. Now Jack is walking with our Lord and Savior in Heaven and singing and playing concerts with the Angels. RIP Jack Till we meet again! Joni Ward Morrison Williams

We have enjoyed his delivering meals on wheels to us, singing to all of our female employees and even singing to a bride that was in the store one day ordering her wedding flowers.
