Pouring one out for Mr Vowell, I lucky to have him as a Scoutmaster all the way back to his time spent in Nj. Scoutmaster of Troop 242 Middletown Nj and Troop 131 Holmdel Nj. We had some great times, laughs and adventures. I spent most of my adolescence looking forward to our trips into the woods. Many rain storms, muddy boots and backpacks and I would do it all over again. Mr. Vowell had a way of bringing the troop and community together. He was devoted to the true meaning of Scouting, duty to god and his country. My condolences to his family.

I've never had a better friend! I will miss you terribly buddy! We go a long way back to Beast barracks at West Point. To Carol, Chris, Tiff, Matt, and family, I am so sorry I could not be there for the funeral, but you guys are consistently in my thoughts and prayers as well as Suzi's. You have quickly become like family to us. We will miss Jeff's sense of humor, friendship, generosity, and kindness, but will always be in your corner whenever you need us. God bless you all!

On behalf of Jeff's team at IBM, our sincere condolences to Jeff's extended family, and all his loving friends and Scouts. Jeff quickly integrated with the IBM team, and while we worked long hours, we had fun. He always showed up "ready to go", had a positive attitude, and made us smile. While what we know of him only scratches the surface, we know "quality goods" when we see it, and Jeff had the goods. Our wish for his family and friends is that they had more time with him to enjoy life's great pleasures and God's blessings. Peace to you all.....

My deepest condolences to the Vowell family on this sudden loss of your husband and father. Jeff was a man to whom I respected and learned a great deal from. He was a great scout leader. He will be missed but never forgotten.
