Dr. Michelle Marie O'Shaughnessy, 55 of Orlando passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 at home with her family by her side. Born in Kissimmee, Florida and has lived primarily in Orlando,Florida. She spent many happy childhood years in London, England and Bogota, Columbia, and Paris, France in her early 20's. She was a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and was licensed since 2006 and received her masters from the Florida College of Integrative Medicine in Orlando, Florida. Michelle also did an internship at the "People's Military Hospital" in Beijing, China before opening her clinic. She was a teacher at the school of Oriental Medicine in Orlando and a member of SENOMA. 

Michelle had an acupuncture practice in Kissimmee, Florida where she specialized in digestive disorders, skin disorders, women's health, and pain.  She was also President and owner of Healing Herbal Soups created to focus on specific healing attributes. Besides being a D.O.M she also was a practicing Esthetician. Michelle was an author of two books "Nourish Your Skin and Body with Traditional Chinese Medicine"  and "Chinese Medicine for Healthy Skin." 

Michelle leaves behind two sons: Robert Effrain Ortiz (Nicole Ortiz) and John William Coursen; Grandchildren: Xavier, Malikhai, and Mia; Sisters: Chevonne Eileen O'Shaughnessy and Melany Rose O'Shaughnessy (Greg Armenta). Niece Christina Raggi and nephew Ryan Mezzera, Mother Rosemarie Rao O'Shaughnessy and loving Stepmother Marianne O'Shaughnessy. Loving friend and companion Philip Guilbeault. Including many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father John Michael O'Shaughnessy. 

The Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.with a service beginning at 5:30 P.M. in the Roger C. Thompson Memorial Chapel at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in the Chapel of Light Mausoleum at Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery.
