Phyllis Mary McGafferty of St. Cloud, Florida, died at 10:28 PM, Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Florida Hospital of Kissimmee.
Phyllis, was a loving mother, who dedicated her life to raising her children whom she loved with all her heart, and is survived by son, Christopher James Cole and daughter, Kara Lee Cole.
Phyllis worked as a school bus driver in Orange County until the death of her husband in 1997. After moving to St. Cloud, Florida, she went back to school to get her degree as a special educator assistant. She retired in 2006 from Osceola school district.
Phyllis enjoyed watching golf and hockey. She also loved to watch the sunset whether it was at the beach or sitting on the porch. She also enjoyed visiting lighthouses along with collecting them. Her favorite Bible verse was Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Phyllis showed the love of Jesus to everyone she came in contact with.
The family wishes to extend gratitude to everyone at Florida Hospital Kissimmee who helped take care of Phyllis, asked how she was doing, or prayed for her and her family in her final days. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
