Virginia Steele Merideth

January 18, 1934 ~ August 7, 2017 (age 83) 83 Years Old
Virginia S. "Ginny" Merideth, 83 of Kissimmee, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017. Born in Marytown, West Virginia; she moved to Kissimmee from Greenbelt, Maryland in 1963. She worked as a secretary at the FBI in Washington, DC, a teller at the SunTrust Bank in Kissimmee and as an Accountant for Starling Chevrolet in Kissimmee. She was also a member of the Sweet Adeline’s singing group and GM Accounting. She married her second husband, Julian Merideth and moved to Orlando in 1989. She and Julian traveled the world by ship, plane and motor home, going as far as Alaska in their motor home. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church, Kissimmee and Grace United Methodist, Orlando.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Julian and son: Michael, survived by daughters: Cathy C. (Rusty)Thacker of Kissimmee; Karen (Bob) Gray of Winter Springs and Susan Talit of Lakeland; sons: Phillip Wayne (Tammy) Christian of Kissimmee, Gary (Vivian) Merideth of Windermere and Bruce (Terry) Merideth of Orlando; sister: Sybil Largent of Melbourne; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church Kissimmee with the Reverend Wayne Cook officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior service time (10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M.) in the church.
