August Cerqueira

CERQUEIRA, AUGUST “GUS”, 83, of Kissimmee passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021. He was born in Newark, N.J. and moved to Kissimmee in 1973 from Belleville, N.J. He worked for the Kissimmee Utility Authority as a Plant Operator for 25 years. He was a coach for many years for the Osceola Youth Girls Softball League, a member of the Astros Booster Club,  and a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.

Gus is survived by his daughters: Laurie Ann and husband Joel of Kissimmee and Cheryl Marie and husband Scott of St. Cloud. Brother: Lawrence of Fresno, CA and Grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Priscilla, James, Crystal, Kendall, Kenszie and great-grandsons Kyden and Castiel and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 5 to 8 PM at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1603 N. Thacker Ave., Kissimmee. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Kissimmee.
