Burney McCoy, 88 of Kissimmee, Florida passed away peacefully on October 7, 2017 at home with his family by his side. He was born in Merrimac, West Virginia and moved to Kissimmee in 1964 from Charleston, West Virginia. Burney worked construction for Bell Underground and was a member of New Day Baptist Church in Kissimmee where he was a deacon, and was very faithful to his church.
Burney is survived by his daughters: Teresa M. Beverly (Jimmy) of Kissimmee, Florida, Brenda McCoy Pate (Jack) of Kissimmee, Florida; brothers: Dee McCoy of West Virginia, and Donald McCoy of West Virginia; grandchildren: Chrystie Pate Schenk (Ben), Scott Pate (Abigail), and Misty Pate Armstrong (Trent); great grandchildren: Kauhlin Pate, Madison Schenk, and Savannah Armstrong. Burney was preceded in death by his loving wife Ruth Marie McCoy in February 2015.
A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in the Roger C. Thompson Memorial Chapel at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Pate officiating.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the New Day Baptist Church Benevolent Fund at New Day Baptist Church, 16 North Orlando Avenue, Kissimmee, Florida 34741 in Memory of Burney McCoy.
