Tribute

We’re gathered here in memory and celebration of a mother, a sister, a daughter, a wife, and a friend. Today we acknowledge and share both our joy in the gift that her life was to us and the pain that her passing brings.

Clare Ann Hazell was bornFebruary 19, 1963Croydon, England. She was the eldest daughter born to Edmond and Doreen Harrelson Hazell. S he is survived by three brothers, Courtney, Colin, and Michael, and her sister, Denise. She will also be missed my host of loving nieces and nephews to numerous to name.

Clare grew up in Guyana and Georgetown Adventist academy and Alleyne High school in Georgetown Guyana.

Clare was an avid member of the Shiloh Seventh Day Adventist church in Campbellville, Guyana.
Clare grew up loving the simple things in life. She was one of the youngest Dorcas leaders. She adored her family and friends, and thoroughly enjoyed worshipping God.

Feeling the need to find her place in this world, she migrated to New York, where she joined Majestic Heights in Brooklyn New York. It was there she met and fell in love with David Worrell. Shortly there after, she was married and joined her husband in Kissimmee, FL. In 1990 she gave birth to her first child Mileta and in 1994 where she gave birth to her son David Jr.

Everyone she met was taken by her personable spirit. Her smile was warm, and her words were always positive and uplifting. It wasn’t long before every member of Mt. Zion was captivated by Clare’s comical high-spirited personality. Throughout the years, she has held many positions at Mt.Zion and lastly served as Sabbath School Superintendent of the Lower Division, Prayer Warrior, Hospitality Coordinator and children’s storyteller. You could always find her laughing and telling jokes. She always made you feel special, and each one of us considered her our best friend because she made you feel like you were her only friend. She was passionate about serving others, meeting your needs, and even putting your needs above her own. She was very protective of the ones she loved and never hesitated to come to the defense of the less fortunate. God was her strength, her shield and buckler and she served Him well.

She was well loved by her church family, Mt. Zion SDA, and her coworkers at a host of healthcare facilities across central Florida. During her time on this earth she dedicated her life in serving others, making sure everyone she came in contact with felt love and inspired.

On October 27, 2018 in the presence of her loving children, God called Clare to a sweet sleep. She fought a good fight and she finished her course.

The viewing will be at 9:00-11:00 a.m. Monday, November 12, 2018 at Mt. Zion SDA church, 2123 N. Smith Street, Kissimmee, FL 34746, with Pastor Lewis Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at RoseHill Cemetery, 1615 Old Boggy Creek Rd, Kissimmee, FL 34744.
