Clause M. Wells, age 88, of Kissimmee, FL passed away on August 21, 2021. He was born on May 28, 1933 in Mobile, AL to Claude Edward and Henrietta (Murray) Wells.
Claude joined the US Army in 1950 and service in the Korean War receiving a bronze star with V device. He left the Army in 1954 and joined the US Air Force and retired from the Air Force in 1971. While in the military he won several medals and awards besides serving in Korea he was also stationed in Germany, North Africa, Goose Bay Labador, Japan, California, New Mexico, both MacDill AFB and McCoy AFB in Florida, Texas where spent 4 years as a Training Instructor at Lackland AFB. He had many interests mainly fishing, gardening, watching the Atlanta Braves and Tampa Bay Rays, and reading.
He worked as a Deputy Sheriff for Osceola County until he retired in 1995 after 24 years.
Claude was married in Orlando, FL in 1960 and is survived by his wife Marilyn Moore; daughters, Mari-Lynn Artman (James), Kathryn (Kitty) Wells all of Kissimmee, FL.
There are no services at his request. Inurnment will occur at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation may be made to the Wounds Warrior Project or to a charity of your choice.
