Dorothy M. Lange

Dorothy Meta Lange, 97 of Kissimmee, Florida passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. She was born in Deshler, Ohio, the daughter of Henry H. and Minnie Mueller Seeman. Dorothy was married to Eugene Lange on March 3, 1946 at St. John Lutheran Church in Deshler. Together they farmed the Seeman Homestead Centennial farm until 1963 when they moved to Kissimmee, Florida. Dorothy and Eugene were charter members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kissimmee, where she was a former Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir. She was also a homemaker and the former cafeteria manager at Highland Elementary School in Kissimmee. Dorothy was also a member of the German Club in Kissimmee and a German Translator for the McDonalds Bakery in Kissimmee. She was also a volunteer tax preparer for seniors at H & R Block for many years.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Shirley J. Beard (Dan) of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Robert Lange (Kelly) of Pettisville, Ohio, Elaine James of Kissimmee, Florida, Mary Semmler (Duane) of New London, Minnesota, Henry Lange (Jeannie) of Bryan, Ohio, Linda Pietarila (Bill) of Ocoee, Florida, Luanne Key (Calvin) of Kissimmee, Florida, Kenneth Lange from Kissimmee and resides in Lake Mary, Florida, 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband Eugene Lange in 2005, her sisters: Wilma, Alma and Erna, and her brother, Henry.
A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3016 W. Vine Street, Kissimmee, Florida 34741.
