Dorothy Jean Stark, 91 of Longwood, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, May 22, 2023. She was born in Jackson, Mississippi the daughter of Leland and Helen Strong. She has lived in Central Florida for over 60 years coming from Jackson, Mississippi. Dorothy was a retired school principal and a member of the First Baptist Church of Orlando. She loved her family and her church, and enjoyed cooking, quilting, playing golf, and supporting her favorite football and baseball teams.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter: Amy (Andy) Bailey; her sons: Jim (Tama) Davis, Greg (Laura) Stark, Tim Stark, Kevin Stark; her 11 grandchildren: Steve (Tanya), Lindsay (Chris), Drew, Jenna (Cole), Hailey, Sarah (Josh), Carolina (Brian), Kylie (Chris), Kimberlyn (Adam), Nicholas (Laura), Taylor (Kristy); her 12 great grandchildren: Steve, Jett, Faith, Lucy, Finley, Aidan, Laken, Wrenley, Declan, Finn, Beau and Bennett. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Helen Strong, her son, Stephen Victor Davis and her husband, Kenneth P. Stark.
The family of Dorothy Jean Stark will receive friends on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Conrad and Thompson Funeral Home. A Service to Celebrate the Life of Dorothy Jean Stark will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. in the Roger C. Thompson Memorial Chapel at Conrad &Thompson Funeral Home with Dr. David Uth of the First Baptist Church of Orlando officiating.
