Elizabeth A Mayes

Elizabeth (Betty) A. Mayes went to her heavenly reward on August 29, 2018. Betty was born June 21, 1931 in Hamilton, Ohio to Burton Sr. & Katie Mayes. She taught public school in Butler County, Ohio for 23 years before moving to Kissimmee to help take care of her mother. Betty then was a substitute teacher for Osceola School District from 1982-1988. She loved taking care of the elderly. Betty was active in the Church of the Nazarene in Hamilton and Kissimmee, both in her local congregation and District events. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Mildred Mayes and Henrietta McCurry; brothers Burton Mayes Jr. and Wallace Mayes. She is survived by brothers John (Juanita) Mayes of Hamilton OH, Joseph (Carolyn) Mayes of Fairfield OH and James (Mary Lou) Mayes of Mt Vernon OH.
A celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Sunday September 9, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1550 Mill Slough Rd., Kissimmee, FL 34744 (407) 847-5510 with Pastor Brian Howard officiating. Family and friends are invited to share in a time of remembrance and fellowship after the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
