Elizabeth Louise Sever, 98, of Kenansville, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 6, 2022. A member of a Pioneer Osceola County family, she was born on December 14, 1923 in Kenansville, Florida, the daughter of George and Lottie Baisden. At the time of her death, she was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, Kenansville, FL.
She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Jack, her brothers John, Adona, and Glenn Baisden, and two great grandsons, Deacon and Garrett Harris.
She is survived by daughters Linda Greening (Paul), Carolyn Garner (George), and Mary Sever; grandchildren Larry Harris (Bridgitte), Jack Harris, and Melinda Harris-Snowden (Shane), and great grandson, Walker Harris; sisters Gladys Stinson and Clara Hunter, and many nieces and nephews.
She returned to Kenansville in 2001 after having lived in Miami for 50 years. While in Miami, at the age of 65, she received her high school diploma at Southwest High School. She enjoyed spending time in her garden with her beautiful roses and orchids. She was a dedicated pastor’s wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, loyal friend and role model. Her home was always open to provide hospitality to countless preachers and missionaries.
The void she leaves will forever be a testimony to the life she lived and to all those she touched.
Funeral services for Louise will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the First Missionary Baptist Church, Kenansville, Florida, with the Pastor David Wallace Officiating. Interment to follow at Kenansville Cemetery. Active casketbearers will be: Larry Harris, Jack Harris, William Stinson, Bartley Baisden, Shane Snowden and Greg Fischer.
Visitation will be one hour prior service time (10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.)
