Evelyn Wooten Robbins, 71, of Kissimmee, graduated to eternity on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019. Evelyn was born into a pioneer Osceola County family on September 29, 1947 - the fourth of the eight children of Dallas and Cecile Brown Wooten.
Although she worked for the local school for a period of time, Evelyn was a homemaker at heart and lived to serve others; caring for aging family members for many years. She was a dedicated member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church where she was faithful to serve wherever and whenever the need arose.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Pete, and sister Carolyn.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 49 years, Eddy Robbins Sr.; sons Eddy “Dunk” Robbins Jr. and his wife Missy; Raymond “Runt” Robbins and his wife Ashley; daughters Amber Ellis and her husband Mike; Sissy McKinney and her husband Phillip; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one grandchild and great-grandchild “on the way”; brothers Sonny, Guy, and Randy; sisters Katherine Kincaid and Marie O’Neill; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and countless friends.
A viewing for family and friends will be held Thursday, September 5th from 5pm-8pm at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home in Kissimmee.
A funeral service will be held at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church (4223 CR 547, Davenport, FL 33837) on Friday, September 6th at 11am with Pastors Rodney Rowe, Steve Weeks, and Gary Munson officiating.
Active casketbearers: Mike Ellis, Phillip McKinney, Kris Mann, Seth Vickers, Marcus Waycaster, Zachary Waycaster and Wayde Waycaster.
Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Kissimmee.
