George Edward Whelan, 92 of Orlando, Florida passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017. He was born in Greenwich, Connecticut the son of Edward A. and Helen Whelan. George moved to Orlando in 1985 from Adrian Michigan and was a retired Supervisor for a chain and cable Company. He was also a Catholic by faith. George was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving his country with honor and distinction during World War II.

George is survived by his daughters: Marilyn Borg of Silver Lake, Washington and Karen McConeghey of Windsor Heights, Iowa. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
