Geraldine R. Parke August 29, 1942 - November 29, 2020

Geraldine, affectionately known as Geri, resided in St. Cloud, Florida. Geri peacefully passed away at home into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior in the early morning hours on Nov. 29th 2020 after a courageous fight from Pulmonary Fibrosis and other complications, surrounded by loved ones near and in spirit who will continue to honor and remember her dearly.

She was born on August 29, 1942 in Bayonne, New Jersey to the late Joseph S. Pavlick and Tessie H. (Drobinski) Pavlick. In her early life, she attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic school through 8th grade. Geri then graduated from Bayonne High School in 1960. She immediately entered the work force, working full-time for Swift Foods Inc. as a file clerk and in procurement. There she met the love of her life, a man that would be her husband of 53 years, Robert Parke. Together they raised a wonderful family, beginning in Bayonne to Browns Mills, New Jersey, until moving to Florida in 1979 where Geri would begin her next career and retire after 25 years with the Osceola County School District in the clerical field.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Geri. Whether it was, embroidering towels, beautiful and intricate lace angels, Christmas ornaments and the most detailed and award-winning quilts. She loved sewing, crafts and creating handmade and detailed palm crosses for friends and family. Geri loved to cook! She was known by so many for her fabulous comfort foods, she loved to share her gift of cooking with family, friends, church events and Knights of Columbus meetings. Geri’s love for cooking brought joy to family gatherings and was the talk of the town too. Her gifts were many, most importantly her infectious smile and laughter will be remembered always. She was compassionate and kind to all she met, this is part of her legacy.

There were many accomplishments throughout her life, Community Awards from Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch, lifetime honorary member of Florida Sheriff’s Association, active and faithful member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in St. Cloud, as well as Employee of the Month multiple times during her 25 years with Osceola School District. Thoughtfully, she would say her greatest accomplishment was being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She loved family and friends to the fullest always. Geri will be remembered by many and welcomed into Heaven by a few. Lovingly, with open arms she will be reunited with her beloved husband of 53 years, Robert L. Parke which proceeded her in death on April 6th, 2020. Survived by two daughters, Cheryl L. Heineman of St. Cloud, FL and Tracy A Pullen of Magnolia, TX and a son, David S. Parke of Pittsboro, NC; One son-in-law, William C. Pullen and a daughter-in-law, Alanna K.
