She was born in Bowmanville, Ontario and was a part time resident of Central, Florida. She was a retired teacher and a Christian by faith.
Helen is survived by her husband of 64 years Grant S. Herron of Oshawa, Ontario; Her sons: Peter Herron of Newtonville, Ontario, Paul Herron of Lakeland, Florida; her daughter Lynda Martin of Canada; her sisters: Lillian Emberson of Ottawa, Canada, Jean Leentjes of Ottawa, Canada; and 9 grandchildren.
