Ivy Louise Wilson, 94 of Kissimmee, Florida went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. She was born in Portland, Jamaica December 5, 1924 the daughter of the late David and Marian Cochran Wilson. She later moved to Kissimmee, Florida in 1985 from Chicago, Illinois. Ivy was a retired Beautician and owned her own beauty shop when she lived in Jamaica. Ivy was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Kissimmee and was also a member of the Altar Guild and a member of the Daughters of the King.
Ivy is survived by her daughters: Jacqueline A. Wilson of Kissimmee, Florida, Doreen Hawkins (Hopeton) of Orlando, Florida; former daughter-in-law: Sonia Wilson of Orlando, Florida; brother-in-law: Lincoln Rhooms of Jamaica; niece: Beulah Russell of Kissimmee, Florida; grandchildren: Jacqueline, Claudette, Nicole, Tony, Heather,Danielle, Racheal, Amber and Ashley; great grandchildren: Kymani, Arion, Elizabeth, Veronica, Alayna, T. J., Joshua, Deandre, and Isaiah; great-great grandchildren: Donald, Elijah, and Marissa; a host of friends and other relatives. Ivy was preceded in death by her loving husband Oswald W. Wilson and her son Nerold Wilson.
A Service to Celebrate the Life of Ivy Louise Wilson will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1709 N. John Young Parkway, Kissimmee, Florida 34741 with Father Cecil D. Radcliff III officiating. Mrs. Wilson will be laid to Rest with her husband, Oswald at Rose Hill Cemetery, Kissimmee, Florida.
