Jack Calhoun

September 17, 1939 ~ November 17, 2017 (age 78) 78 Years Old
John C. Jack” Calhoun, 78 of Kissimmee passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017 at his residence. Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan the son of the late John and Mariam Calhoun Jack moved to Osceola County in 1942. Jack was a musician starring on the Grand Ole Opry with his twin brother Jerry. He began building entertainer tour buses out of his love for country music. Jack had a passion for golf, his family friends and most of all his dogs. He was one of the most generous individuals you could ever meet and he put a smile on everyone’s face when he walked in the room. Now God gets to hear him play and sing after he’s finished hitting on all the angels.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jackie Calhoun, brother Jay Calhoun. Survivors include daughter, Robin (Lenny) Stewart, Kissimmee, son, Caleb (Jolene) Calhoun, Kissimmee, mother of the children Karen Calhoun, Kissimmee, brothers Jerry Calhoun, Leesburg, Bud Calhoun, Virginia, Grandchildren, Brittney Calhoun, Cheyenne Sharkey and Brooks Calhoun all of Kissimmee. Companion Beverly Peterson.

A celebration of life Memorial Service for Jack will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday November 21, 2017 at the First Baptist Church 1700 John Young Parkway, Kissimmee, with the Rev. Dr. Ed Carney officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Osceola County Animal Control 3910 Old Canoe Creek Road, St Cloud, FL 34772 in Jack’s memory.
