James F. Marx, age 84, of Orlando, FL passed away on June 15, 2018. “Jimmy” was born on March 12, 1934 to Joseph and Jean Marx in Miles City, MT and spent his childhood. He entered the US Army in 1953 and was assigned to Germany and was a member of the NATO Championship Rifle Team. Jimmy was educated at Indiana State University as an industrial engineer and he worked in the manufacturing industry. He rose to a plant manager position for Massey Ferguson in Appleton, WI. He had exceptional leadership, organizational and decision making skills.
He had a second career working in real estate where he met his beloved spouse Beverley in 1984 and they became inseparable.
Jimmy enjoyed golf and was a self-taught artist that painted with oil and water color. Many beautiful still life works he gave to family, friends, and charitable groups.
During Jimmy’s retirement years he was passionate about his family and enriching his Catholic faith with practicing devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of his Lord, Jesus.
He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and was a life time member of the Knights of Columbus.
Jimmy is survived by his loving and devoted wife Beverley “Bev” Marx of 33 years; 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren from a prior marriage include; sons Kurtis (Jacinta) Marx of Ashburn, VA, Joseph (Kelly) Marx of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Steven (Christy) Marx of Coupeville, WA, Anthony (Susan) Marx of Sterling, VA and Michael Marx of Alexandria ,VA; grandfather of McLain Padilla, Ryan, Joseph, Amy, Samantha, Carly, Miguel, Matthew, Ana, Haley and Ethan; great grandfather of Sarah, Katie and Bradley; brother of Ruth (R.K) Markeson of Star, ID.
Visitation is Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at CONRAD AND THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME 511 Emmett St Kissimmee, FL 34741. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church 1603 N. Thacker Ave Kissimmee, FL.
