Jerry Lee Rogers, 84 of Kissimmee passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018. A member of an Osceola County pioneer family,Jerry was born in Kissimmee, the son of Albert and Mary Rogers. He was graduate of Osceola High School and Florida Southern College. Jerry was retired Certified Public Accountant. He was a member of the Florida Institute of CPA's, a former member of the Kiwanis Club, a former City Commissioner and had served on the Valencia Foundation Board. Jerry was a member of the First United Methodist Church and served as church treasurer for 25 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving his country faithfully.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Mary Ruth Watts Rogers; daughters, Lori Rogers of Brooklyn, New York and Leigh Shanks of Albany, Georgia; son, Justin L. Rogers of Fort Pierce, Florida; sister, Janet Nielsen (Michael) of Phoenix, Arizona; brother-in-law,Lloyd Peters of Palo Alto, California; sister-in-law, Amy Grissom (Babe) of St. Cloud, Florida; three grandchildren, Jennifer Powell, Kaley Hart and Clay Shanks and four great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Rose Hill Cemetery, Kissimmeee, with the Reverend Cathy Thacker of First United Methodist Church of Lake Alfred officiating.
