JoAnne Chancey, 72 of Kissimmee, Florida passed away peacefully after a short illness on Wednesday, June 23, 2021. JoAnne was born the daughter of Patrick and Rita Bartmey Gillis. She moved to Kissimmee, Florida in 2006 from Boca Raton, Florida. JoAnne was an Episcopalian by faith, she was also a volunteer at Give Kids the World for over 10 years. She made and gave away over 200 mask during the pandemic so others would be safe and live, she also loved baking for her family and friends. She was a thoughtful and giving person who loved to help others in need.
JoAnne is survived by her loving husband of 19 wonderful years, Claude Lavon Chancey of Kissimmee, Florida; her son: Jim Martin of Hanover, New Hampshire; her step-son: Randy Resetco and his wife Dianne of Holly Springs, North Carolina: her step-daughters: Rhonda Coates and her husband Tim of Palm Harbor, Florida, Audrey McConnell and her husband Sean of St. Petersburg, Florida; her brother: Pat Gillis and his wife Gerhild of Cape Coral, Florida; her sister: Gail Helser of Boston, Massachusetts; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
JoAnne will be laid to rest at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
