Joe Cephas Beam, 90 of Celebration, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2019. He was born in Union, South Carolina, the son of Conrad and Florence Beam. He moved to Celebration, Florida three years ago from Morehead City, North Carolina, after being a part time resident for the previous 15 years. Joe was a retired owner and operator of an insurance company and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Morehead City, North Carolina, he was also a Deacon at the Church. Joe was also very active with the Salvation Army and several of the Local Veterans Groups including the Celebration Veterans Club. Joe was a Veteran of the United States Army serving his Country with Honor and Distinction during the Korean Conflict.

Joe is survived by his loving wife Shirley Cummings Beam of Celebration, Florida; his sons: Peter Cummings (Lilly) of Orlando, Florida and Joe C. "Buddy" Beam Jr. (Tracy) of Morehead City, North Carolina; his daughters: Mary Jo McCalley (Gray) of Atlanta, Georgia and Shirley Ann Unterbrink of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; his brother: Jay Ky Beam (Jane) of Rockville, Maryland; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Joe was preceded in death by his first wife of 62 years, Janice Lewis Beam.

Services will be held in Morehead City, North Carolina through the services of the Munden Funeral Home, 2112 Arendell Street, Morehead City, North Carolina 28557; 252-726-8066.
