John Andrew Comiskey, Jr. originally of Ann Arbor, Michigan, passed away February 2, 2018 (age 92).
He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth “Betsey” (Gibson) Comiskey of Dearborn, Michigan.
He is survived by his sons, Scott, Raymond (wife Tiffany) and Bruce (wife Laura), grandchildren, Faith, Taylor, Gertrude and Maxwell.
After raising his family in Ann Arbor, Michigan, John spent the last 24 years living first in Walhalla, South Carolina and then Orlando, Florida. A veteran of WWII, he was stationed as a Seabee in Okinawa. He arrived shortly after D-Day and helped build new hospitals, roadways and airstrips at the age of 19. He was a proud member of the US Navy until February 1946 when he was honorably discharged with the bronze star. John, while a talent of many trades, spent over thirty years with Edwards Brothers, Inc until his retirement in 1990. A caring husband and father, John will always be remembered for his quick wit, harmonica skills, and fondness for Jeopardy.

A small memorial service will be held February 17, 2018 at 10:30am at Highland Memorial Park, Ocala, FL.
