John Quincy Faircloth Jr, 87 of Haines City, Florida passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Thursday, December 26, 2019. He was born in Vidalia, Georgia the son of John Q. and Mattie Lou Harris Faircloth. He recently moved to Haines City, Florida from Kissimmee, Florida. He was a Combat Veteran serving his country with honor and distinction during the Korean Conflict. John was a Baptist by faith.
John is survived by his sons: John Q. Faircloth III of Crossville, Tennessee, Jimmy Lee Faircloth (Bonnie) of Vidalia, Georgia, Tommy Edward Faircloth of Crossville, Tennessee; daughters: Shirley Ann Faircloth (Jim Tyler) of Haines City, Florida, Mary Lou Aaron (Keith) of Haines City, Florida and Linda Sue Coleman of Covington, Louisiana; 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a whole school of fish.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 30, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home. A Service to Celebrate the Life of John Q. Faircloth Jr. will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Roger C. Thompson Memorial Chapel at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Pate officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Kissimmee, Florida where John will be accorded military honors by the Osceola County Veterans Council Honor Guard.
