Joseph A. Gonzalez

Joseph A. Gonzalez, 69 of Kissimmee, Florida passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 1, 2021 with his family by his side. Joseph was born in Manhattan, New York, the son of Jose Antonio Gonzalez and Josephine Jimenez and moved to Kissimmee 15 years ago from East North Port, Long Island, New York. Joseph was a retired New York City Detective for the New York City Police Department. A Former member of the Lions Club in New York, a member of the Centro de la Familia Cristiana, Poinciana, Florida. Joseph always put his family and his church above all else yet at the same time, found a need to help others less fortunate than himself.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Norma Gonzalez of Kissimmee, Florida; his sons: Joseph A Gonzalez Jr of Brooklyn, New York, Christopher Gonzalez of Kissimmee, Florida; his daughters: Jeanette Liddy (Douglas) of Hawley, Pennsylvania; Christine Collazo (Rob) of Orlando, Florida; his mother: Josephine Jimenez Deynes of Puerto Rico; his brothers: Michael Rodriguez (Lucy) of Levittown, Puerto Rico, James Gonzalez (Lillian) of Hazleton, Pennsylvania, Howard Gonzalez (Rita) of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Carlos Gonzalez of Los Angeles, California and Anthony Gonzalez of New Jersey; his sisters: Victoria Rodriguez of San Juan, Puerto Rico and Cecilia Gonzalez of Brooklyn, New York; 5 grandchildren. Joseph was preceded in death by his father Jose A. Gonzalez and his twin brother Antonio Gonzalez.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home. A Service to Celebrate the Life of Joseph A. Gonzalez will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in the Roger C. Thompson Memorial Chapel at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home with Pastor Javier Figueroa of the Centro de la Familia Cristiana, Poinciana, Florida officiating. Joseph will be laid to rest following the service in Osceola Memory Gardens Mausoleum where he will be accorded Police Honors from the Kissimmee Police Department. PLEASE Remember at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home, because of the recent pandemic, necessary precautionary measures will need to be taken, SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE REQUIRED as well as WEARING A FACE MASK at the funeral home.
