Joseph H. Boggs Jr.

Joseph H. Boggs Jr, 90 of Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at home with his family by his side. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and moved to Orlando in 1975 from Imperial Beach, California. He was a Catholic by faith. He retired from the United States Navy, and was a member of the Golden Ears at Walt Disney World, a member of the D.A.V. and A Veteran of the United Stated Navy serving his country with honor and distinction during World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.

Joseph is survived by his sons: Ken Boggs (Terry) of Orlando, Florida, John Boggs (Robin) of Oak Hill, Florida; his daughters: Sandy Braithwood (Paul) of Orlando, Florida, Mary Cowart (John) of Cocoa, Florida, Janice Boggs of Orlando, Florida; his brothers: James Boggs (Sheila) of Mesa, Arizona, and Ron Boggs of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sister: Helen Upham of Philadelphia; 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Joseph was preceded in death by his loving wife Hazel of 64 years, and sons Joseph H. Boggs III, and Richard Boggs.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, Florida where Joseph will be accorded Full Military Honors. Joseph will be laid to rest next to his wife Hazel
