Linda Beth (Webb) Whidden, 74, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on May 26, 2023 after a long illness.
Linda was born on January 11, 1949 to Eleanor (Etheridge) and Merlin Webb in Coronado, California. After moving to Pensacola, Florida as a child, she graduated from Escambia High School in 1967 and Florida State University in 1971 with a degree in Elementary Education.
In 1971, Linda married Robert (Butch) Whidden, Jr. A life-long lover of education, Linda taught for a few years at Lake Butler Elementary School and continued to take classes at Valencia Community College throughout her adult life. She was very involved in the church and PTA.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Robert (Butch) Whidden, Jr; their daughter Alyssa Kendall and her husband Carl (Chip) of Pasadena, Maryland; their son Chad Whidden and his wife Rebecca of Chesapeake, Virginia; three grandchildren; and her brother Kevin Webb and his wife Vicki of Cantonment, Florida. Linda was preceded in death by her mother Eleanor (Etheridge) Green, her stepfather Calvin Green, her father Merlin Webb, and her brother Charles Webb.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Rose Hill Cemetery, Kissimmee, Florida, with the Reverend Cathy Thacker, First United Methodist Church of St. Cloud, Officiating.
