Tribute

Louise Rose Hord passed away peacefully at her home in Clermont, Florida, on Friday, June 19, 2020. She was born on October 7, 1940, in Butler, Pennsylvania and was raised her entire life in Saxonburg, Pennsylvania. Louise was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Golojuh Furyk, and her brother, Nicholas A. Golojuh, both of Saxonburg.

Louise began her early career in banking in her hometown before marrying the love of her life on December 20, 1958, of whom she met on a blind date. Together they lived in four states prior to moving to Kissimmee in 1972 and building a successful business, Custom Plastic Developments, Inc. of which they owned and operated for nearly 40 years. Louise was a stickler for accuracy and prided herself on her work. However, her true love and devotion was always to her family, which often included much of the neighborhood. This same love and devotion was showered on her grandchildren of whom she loved and supported with loving care and by her attendance at easily 90 percent of each of their activities along with her husband. Her generosity and caring personality was expressed to all whose paths she crossed, whether it be a friend, neighbor, employee or even someone in need. Louise was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kissimmee prior to relocating to Clermont with her husband last year after raising their family in Kissimmee for 47 years.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard L. Hord, of Clermont, FL, son Richard W. Hord (Michele) of Orlando, FL, and her daughter Lynette Hord Burton (Cole) of Kissimmee, FL, as well as eight grandchildren, Megan Hord Rega (Scott) of Nashville, TN, Natalie Hord Blain (Jarrod) of Bremerton, WA., Kayla Burton Flannery (Christopher) of Winter Garden, FL, Erica Hord of Houston, TX, Krista Hord (Fiancé Ryan Raquet) of Charlotte, NC, Bryce Burton of Orlando, FL, Rick Hord of Orlando, FL and Leacy Burton of Gainesville, FL, and one great-granddaughter, Charlotte Blain, of Bremerton, WA. In addition she is survived by her sister-in-law June Golojuh of Cabot, PA, her nephew Bruce Golojuh (Lisa) of Sarver, PA, nieces Debbie Karastury (Dave) of Cabot, PA and Denise Pogue (George) of Butler, PA, as well as two great nieces and two great nephews.
