Mary Ellen Brown

Mary Ellen Brown, 94, of Kissimmee, FL, passed away August, 9, 2019. She was born July, 3, 1925 in Williston North Dakota to Arthur Johnson and Irene Mahanna Johnson. She lived in North Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming, respectively, before moving to Florida in 1979. Mary Ellen was a successful real-estate agent in Kissimmee, FL until her retirement.  She and her husband of 43 years shared many adventures traveling the United States with their mobile home, pursuing the birth place of every US president and worked seasonal positions at Disney World. Mary Ellen was a devoted Catholic.
 
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Herbert Leon Brown, daughter Mary Jacqueline Nyquist Rasmussen, and stepson James Brown. She is survived by her children Carter William Nyquist, Patrick Arthur Nyquist, James Michael Nyquist, and Timothy Jan Nyquist of Laramie, WY; Dee Anne Nyquist of Altamonte Springs, FL; and stepson Herbert Leslie Brown of Casper, WY.  She is also survived by many beloved grandchildren & great grandchildren.
 
A memorial mass will be held Thursday, August 22 at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kissimmee, FL with a luncheon following at Good Samaritan Village, Heritage Creekside, for her beloved adopted Florida family and friends.
 
Arrangements will be made at a later date for family to bring her & Herb’s remains to her home in Williston ND.
