Helen Gebert (nee Mary Helen Martin) entered the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 31, 2020. She was born in Wink, Texas on Dec 15, 1929, the second child of John Cecil and Tamzenah Willingham Martin. She was educated in TX public schools and received an associate’s degree from Lamar College. She worked as secretary to a bank president early in her life and to the superintendent of Premont TX schools for many years after she was married. She married Kermit Otto Gebert on May 4, 1952 in Winters, TX. She became the proud mother of three children: Karl, Karen, and Kathy. In 2010, she and Kermit moved to Kissimmee FL to be near their daughter, Karen. Helen has always been active in her church (e.g. First Baptist Church, Premont, TX 1959-2010 and Good Samaritan Community Church, Kissimmee FL), and for years in Eastern Star.
