Mavis Malcolm Pryce, 86 of Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. She was born in Tweedside, Clarendon, Jamaica, West Indies, the daughter of Arthur and Mehala Malcolm. She moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1970 and then to Orlando 16 years ago. Mavis was a caregiver by trade, she loved helping others, she loved her dogs, her church, music and was a fantastic cook, just ask anybody she cooked for.
Mavis is survived by her sons: Edward Pryce of Brooklyn, New York, Carl Pryce of Brooklyn, New York, Neil Pryce of Brooklyn, New York; her daughters: Elma Clarke of Orlando, Florida and Lauris Pryce of Brooklyn, New York; her sisters: Nora Lee of South Carolina; Phyllis Lindsey of England, Pearl Lewis of England; Several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; She is also survived by her extended family of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and a host of friends. Mavis was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mehala Malcolm and a son, Wade Pryce.
The Family will receive friends on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home. A service to celebrate the life of Mavis Pryce will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the Roger C. Thompson Memorial Chapel at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home with Reverend Wade Mumm of Greenway Church officiating Mavis will be laid to Rest at Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery following the service.
