Michael Fleming Joy

Michael Fleming Joy, 58, of Kissimmee, FL passed away on Sunday, August 23rd holding the hands of his loving wife Polly, of 25 years and daughter, April. Mike, the son of Mary Kathryn Wright and Robert Leroy Joy was born in Miami, FL on August 6, 1962. He graduated from Osceola High School in 1980 and was part of the football team. He was an avid football fan with his favorite team being the Miami Dolphins, although he acknowledged they weren’t doing so well. He was also a fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Green Bay Packers, and Florida Gators. He also enjoyed fishing, his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and barbequing on the grill. Mike worked for the City of Kissimmee for 15 years and then Cypress Cove Resort for 24 years. 
 
Mike is survived by his wife Polly Joy and daughter April Landen (Tom); brother David Joy (Teresa); grandsons Michael Chase, Dennis Greenhaw III, and Steven Greenhaw; brother in law Paul Pharis and James Pharis (Sue); cousin Dean Hadley (Barbara). He is preceded in death by his mother and father, brother Robert Joy, and stepson Dennis Greenhaw Jr. 
 
A memorial service will be held lakeside at Cypress Cove Resort at a later date.
