Michele Joann "Shelly" Weiss, 48 passed away June 12, 2018 at her home in Tallahassee, Florida. Shelly was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 24, 1969 to parents Michael and Carolyn Weiss.
Shelly graduated from Osceola High School in 1987. While in school she was a cheerleader, member of chorus, played saxophone, member of Girl Scouts and Keyettes, and was a junior volunteer at Osceola Regional Hospital. She was an avid writer having her first poem published when she was in fourth grade.
Her first job after graduation was at the Osceola County Court House where she served as a clerk for Clerk of Court Mel Wills.
She graduated from Florida State University with three master's degrees EDS, LMHC, and CRC in 1996.
She moved to Orlando to work for vocational rehab, developed a program for UCF for children with disabilities, she opened her practice of mental health counseling. While in Tallahassee she worked with Governor Jeb Bush in getting public buildings ADA compliant.
As an avid writer she wrote children's books for guidance group organization which are available on amazon. She traveled as an inspirational speaker. She was a bible scholar. She developed the my dream portfolio process for establishing life goals.
She is a member of FSU Alumni, writing therapist organization, and Turtle rescue organization.

She was preceeded in death by her father Michael Weiss Sr, grandparents Laymon and Beulah Wright, William and Dorothy Young, and Henry Weiss. She was also preceeded by her special pets Seminole and Zoey.
She is survived by her best friends Jireh and Addy, her mother Carolyn, her brother Michael Jr and his wife Tammy of McMinnville, TN; her brother Mark and his wife Jacqueline of Brentwood,TN; nieces Amanda and Anna Claire, nephews Cody and Alex and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Roger C. Thompson Memorial Chapel, Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home with the Pastor Jeffrey Lehman, Associate Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Kissimmee, officiating.
A reception with food and fellowship will follow after the services in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to service dog organization of your choice or at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her honour.
