Tribute

With heavy hearts, we are sharing the news that Phil Loos has passed away. Our family is heartbroken and grieving the loss, and we ask for privacy at this time.
Phil had a long and successful career as a horn player and orchestra teacher in Northwest Indiana before relocating to Central Florida in 2018. Most recently, Phil was an orchestra teacher at Osceola County School for the Arts, a private brass teacher at Music and Arts in Kissimmee, and a cast member at Walt Disney World. In his career as an educator, Phil positively impacted the lives of hundreds of young people in Northwest Indiana as well as Central Florida. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and made music with him throughout his life.
Phil is survived by his two daughters, Naomi and Charlotte, and his cousins, Sandi Haddock, Debi Hearn, and Sally Mitres Stewart. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Patricia Valetini and Lloyd Loos.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date in the Chicagoland area. We ask that memorial donations be made toward final expenses and a college/future fund for Phil’s daughters. Donations can be sent via Venmo directly to a savings account created for this purpose (Venmo @loosfamily). Those wishing to express condolences to the family can do so by posting to Phil’s Facebook page or sending an email to PhillipLoosMemorialMessages@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
