Robert “Bob” William Gee, 84 of Kissimmee, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2020. He was born in Tampa, Florida and moved to Kissimmee from Lakeland, Florida in 1974. Bob was a retired Banker and went to work for CCM (Computer Consultants & Merchants) after retiring from 30+ years in banking. Bob was a police officer in Tampa, Florida when he married Mary Helen. He was on the Police Department for 5 years and that was his very favorite job, He resigned from the police Department when his oldest son was only 2 years old. He was a member of the Impact Community Church in St. Cloud, Florida. Bob was active in the Osceola County Development Authority, Foundation for Osceola Education, Inc., Committee of 100, He was a strong supporter of the Kowboy Booster Club, He loved baseball and was a coach for many years in Kissimmee, He spearheaded the construction of the baseball field at Osceola High School and also spearheaded raising the funds for the football locker room improvements, He started an adult baseball league in Osceola County and lead the City of Tampa men’s fast pitch softball in batting average in 1970, A member of the Kissimmee Rotary Club, An avid fisherman and a member of the Bass Club. Bob was also a huge Florida Gator Fan. Bob was also a Veteran of the United States Army serving his country with honor and distinction during the Korean War.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 61 years: Mary Helen Gee of Kissimmee, Florida; his sons: “Don” Gee (Jo Betty) of Atlanta, Georgia, Scott (Tammie) of Cottontown, Tennessee; his daughter: Shelley Calhoun (Jeff) of Houston, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Bob is also survived by his beloved boxer, Sadie. Bob was preceded in death by his brother: Edgar Gee, his sisters: Essie Wallar, Florine Jordan and Francis Lanier.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 11, 2020 from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. with a Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 P.M at the Council on Aging, 700 Generation Point, Kissimmee, Florida 34744 with Reverend Steve Underwood of the Impact Community Church in St. Cloud, Florida and Reverend Jeff Calhoun of the 2nd Baptist Church in Houston, Texas officiating. Bob will be accorded Military Honors by the Osceola County Veterans Council for his service to his country. Because of the recent pandemic, necessary precautionary measures will need to be taken, SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE REQUIRED as well as WEARING A FACE MASK at the Council on Aging. If you feel that you may have symptom, please stay at home and watch on Facebook live. Please remember not to wear a tie, please dress casual or wear your favorite fishing shirt or Florida Gator shirt to help us celebrate Bob’s life.
