Tribute

Robert Harry Lane AKA Bobby, 70 of Kissimmee, fl passed away on April 16, 2018 surrounded by his devoted family.  He was born on June 3, 1947 in Bozman, Montana. He was a postal worker and then started working at Walt Disney World when it was just a pile of dirt.  He retired from there as a project manager and really enjoyed what he did. His parents were Robert Cross and Rita Lane.   His dad passed away  in the Korean war where he was shot down in an aircraft when Bobby was young kid. He had a sister named Karen Cummings and brother George Cross who was married to Suzanne Cross. His mom Rita Lane went on to remarry Leamon Lane where they had 4 girls.  Leanne, Susan, Anita and Nancy.

He met the love of his life Linda Davis  in 1964 at Osceola High School where he was an all star quarterback and outstanding baseball player. After high school he continued his athletics in fast pitch softball where he won many awards and retired from it in 2004.  He spent years after that playing golf and fishing.  They welcomed their first child Christine  in 1967 and their second child Jeffery 1968.  They had 51 years of great memories and lots of happiness. All of us will miss his guidance and love in different ways. He was a devoted husband and father that went out of his way to make sure he was there for us.

He is survived by his sisters Karen Cummings, Susan Johnson, Anita Lane and Nancy Lane.  His kids Christine Key, her Husband Bryan Key and her son Ryne Koenig.  Jeffery Lane, his wife Diana and his daughter Baylie Kraubetz who is married to Cory Kraubetz and their 2 kids Kenna and Kaia and his son Jarrett and Brent Lane.

The viewing will be at Conrad & Thompson Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 5-7pm and a gravesite service at RoseHill Cemetery Kissimmee, FL Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:00am.
