Robert Burgess Ritchey

Robert Burgess Ritchey "Bobby", age 72, of Kissimmee, FL, entered into Eternal Rest on Sept. 4, 2021.  Bobby was born in Orange, NJ, to the late Vernon B. and Ruth H. Ritchey.  Bobby was the first Special Education student in New Jersey to earn his way back into mainstream classes; and he graduated from High School in 1970.  He worked full-time as a mail clerk at Hoffman-LaRoche and, later, ITT, both in Nutley, New Jersey.  After moving to St Cloud in the early 1990's, he worked at TECO until retirement.  Bobby loved studying the Bible, playing music for friends, and computer games.  Bobby was a Presbyterian, taught Sunday School, and was an Ordained Elder, PCUSA.  He was a long-time volunteer at The Thriftee Center in St Cloud. Bobby loved his pets:  Jet, Freddy, Holly and, most recently, Lucy.  Bobby will be remembered as the most loving and kind person you will ever meet.  He is survived by his brothers Vernon Scott Ritchey of Kittrell, NC, James Ritchey (Katherine) of Succasunna, NJ, sisters Diane DelConte (John) of Bayville, NJ, Lisa Ritchey of Kissimmee, FL, and nieces and nephews, John DelConte, Amalia Trengrove, David Ritchey, and Sarah Ritchey. 

A Memorial Celebration of Life Service for Robert Burgess "Bobby" Ritchey will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Good Samaritan Community Church, 1441 Northgate Drive, Kissimmee, Florida 34746 with Reverend Dr. Marc T. Haynes and Reverend Tim Nordstrom officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Bobby's memory to Samaritan's Purse/ Operation Christmas Child or your favorite charity.
