Socorro A. Marin

Socorro A. Marin 83 of Lakeland, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, April 26, 2021. She was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and moved to Lakeland, Florida in 2010 from Roosevelt Ceiba, Puerto Rico. She was a retired hairstylist and a Catholic by faith. She was also a member of the Tai-Chi club at Good Samaritan Village.

Socorro is survived by her sons: Ricardo Marin (wife Mayra Marin) of Lakeland, Florida, and Carlos Marin (wife Carmen) of San Juan, Puerto Rico; her sister: Emmy Desa of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico; 3 grandchildren: Ricardo Marin Jr., Carla Marin, and Kevin Marin (big boy).

She is predeceased by her husband Carlos.

A Celebration of Life Service for Socorro A. Marin will be held on Saturday May 1, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. in the Roger C. Thompson Memorial Chapel at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home with Deacon William Contreras as celebrant. Socorro will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida on Friday, May 7, 2012 at 2:00 P.M.
