November 7, 1944 ~ April 27, 2018 (age 73) 73 Years Old

Tribute

Thomas Francis Logan Jr, 73, of Kissimmee, passed away of natural causes on Friday April 27th 2018. He was born in Philadelphia in 1944 to Thomas F Logan Sr. and Mae (Fleming) Logan. He married Patricia (Fulayter) Logan on September 12th, 1968 in Pompano Beach, Florida. Tom arrived in Florida in September 1962 to play baseball in the St. Louis Cardinal Organization. His baseball career ended upon being drafted into the Vietnam War with the US Army. Tom was a Luxury, Custom Home Builder. He built hundreds of homes in some of Central Florida’s finest neighborhoods. Stretching from Lake Mary, Windermere, Kissimmee, to international locations in the Bahamas, Tom emphasized quality in all of his work. If you knew him, you would also know Tom was a true Floridian loving every aspect of Southern living. Of course, that strong emotion centered on his passion for salt water fishing. With son Tommy and grandson Matthew, “Captain Tom” would charter his boat on any Caribbean shore he could find. But although he loved the sea – nothing could match the love he had for his family. His wife Pat was the “apple of his eye”; daughter Jennifer was truly “daddy’s little girl,” while son Tommy worked each day in the building business by Tom’s side. Doting upon his grandchildren and loving being near them as often as he could, some of his most laughable moments arrived on those Saturday mornings when he could sneak away always returning home with a “Baker’s dozen” of glazed doughnuts for granddaughter Emilee and grandson Matthew who anxiously awaited for Grandpa’s “expected” surprise. Devoted to his family, Tom never missed a sporting event or practice for Tommy, III, or ignored a need for daughter Jennifer. With the arrival of Tommy and Lisa’s children, he carried that same loyalty in attending Matthew‘s and Emilee’s many events. Known for his generosity, Tom leaves behind his dream to make certain the little children in the hurricane-torn West End, Old Bahama Bay, Bahamas will be financially supported in their local school. He departs knowing Pat, Tommy, and Jennifer share the legacy for such support and wishes.

Tom is preceded in death by his father and mother. Thomas F Logan Sr. and Mae (Fleming) Logan and brother Ronald Logan. Tom will be greatly missed by his wife Patricia; son Thomas F Logan III and his wife Lisa (Windermere); daughter Jennifer; brother Robert Logan and his wife Jackie (Coral Springs); sister Dorothy Logan Argoe and her husband Rod (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina); granddaughter Emilee Marie Logan and grandson Matthew Thomas Logan (Windermere); sister-in-law Beverly Baird Boothe (Sanford); and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at All Souls Catholic Church in the Historic Chapel (800 South Oak Avenue in Sanford on Wednesday, May 2, at 4:00 with Father Gilbert Medina presiding.
