Michael has been the Managing Partner of Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home since 2003. He moved to Central Florida in 1980 from Oklahoma and has worked as a manager and a funeral director at several Central Florida funeral homes and cemeteries. Michael has been licensed in Florida since 1980 as well as being licensed in Oklahoma and Georgia.
Michael received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1977 from Oklahoma City University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and his Bachelor’s degree in Funeral Service in 1979 from Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Michael is a member of the Kissimmee/Osceola County Chamber of Commerce as well as the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce and the Kissimmee West Rotary Club. He is also a member of the Masonic Lodge #115 F&AM in Punta Gorda, Florida.
Funeral DirectorConrad & Thompson Funeral Home welcomed Edward “Babe” C. Grissom III to its staff on June 1, 2010. Babe is the former co-owner and general manager of Grissom Funeral Home in Kissimmee. He is a third generation funeral director with over 47 years of experience in the Kissimmee/St. Cloud area. Babe is the grandson of Edward C. Grissom Sr. and Katherine B. Grissom, founders of the Grissom Funeral Home and Crematory in Kissimmee in 1926. Babe is serving Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home in the capacity of Consultant Funeral Director, where he meets with families on an at-need basis as well as takes care pre-arrangement needs. He has been active in the Kissimmee/St. Cloud community as a member of the First Baptist Church of Kissimmee, Orange Blossom Lodge #80, F.&A.M., Kissimmee, Scottish Rite and York Rite bodies, Bahia Shrine Temple, Orlando, Kissimmee Elks Lodge #1873, Silver Spurs Club, Jacob Summerlin Camp #1516, and Sons of Confederate Veterans.
Funeral DirectorMark is a third generation funeral director from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He received his license in 1980. He managed his family funeral home and then owned and operated his own funeral home until 2006. Mark received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economic/Business Administration at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 1978 and received his Master’s Degree in Business at the University of Phoenix in 1986. He moved to Ocala, Florida in 2007 and now resides in Kissimmee. Mark is a past president of the North Side Lions Club of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has held many positions in the Knights of Columbus, including being a Past Grand Knight of Council 1400 and Past Faithful Navigator of Fort Pitt Assembly. He volunteered for the Allegheny County Sheriff Department as a reserve motor officer for eight years. He is a parishioner at Corpus Christie Catholic Church in Kissimmee. In his spare time, he enjoys scuba diving and cruising. He has been married to his wife Sherry for 40 years and has two grown children, Matthew Brady and K.C. Brady and one grandchild Emily Brady.
Office Manager/SecretaryEmmi was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to Kissimmee in 2002 from New Orleans, Louisiana. She has been in the funeral business since 1998. Emmi is bilingual and assists families who prefer to speak Spanish. She attends Holy Cross Catholic Church. She is married with two children and enjoys spending time with them.
Pre-Need Sales CounselorJean Thompson was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and is a graduate of St. Cloud High School. She has been married to Roger Thompson since 1964. Jean has worked tirelessly alongside Roger since they purchased the Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home in 1967. Roger passed away in February of 2014. While working in the funeral home, Jean was also a Branch Manager and Assistant Vice-President for First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Osceola County. Jean is a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and a Eucharistic Minister. She was a past secretary of the Osceola High School Kowboy Booster Club. Jean also volunteered in many school programs at Central Ave. Elementary School, Beaumont Middle School and Osceola High School. Jean was also named Oasis Volunteer of the Year. She has been an integral part of the funeral home for many years and currently assists Roger and the entire staff of Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home by providing Pre-Arrangement Services to all the families we serve. Jean and Roger have two daughters, Cynthia and Cheryl, who graduated form Osceola High School. Jean is also the proud grandmother of three grandchildren.
AmbassadorTeresa joined the staff at Conrad & Thompson Fuenral Home in 2009. She was born in Bogota, Columbia and moved to the United States in 1964. She has lived in Florida since 1978 and in Kissimmee since 1981. She was a professional banker in the Kissimmee area for over 24 years. She attended Valencia Community College, Orlando Campus for her studies in Principles of Banking. Teresa has been a active blood donor since 1972 and is a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kissimmee, where she volunteers on a regular basis. She has two children and two grandchildren.
