William A. "Bill" Davis, 88 of Kissimme, Passed away Friday, August 11, 2017. A member of a Pioneer Osceola County Family Bill was born in Kissimmee, a fourth generation native, the son of Doyle and Mary Davis and was a lifelong Osceola County resident.
After graduating from Osceola High School in 1947, he served in the US Navy until 1952, then began a 42 years career with the City of Kissimmee. He was a lifelong member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Kissimmee, longtime member of Airport Inn Golf Club, a charter member of Kissimmee Elks Club #1873, supportive booster of OHS athletics and served in a variety of capacities for Kissimmee youth baseball and softball organizations over the years. He loved watching sports, especially his beloved Florida Gators.
Preceded in death by parents Doyle and Mary Davis, brother and sister-in-law Harold and Nita Davis. Survived by wife of 56 years Judy (Rhoades)Davis, sons Paul (Martha), Aaron (Sylvia), Joel (Erin), daughter Darcy (David); nieces, Margaret Ann and Patti (Rick) and grandchildren Nick, Jake, Cole, Sydney, Zac, Matt, Seth, Maddy, Lyra and Cullen.
Visitation for friends will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with the Scripture Service at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at the Roger C. Thompson Memorial Chapel, Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Kissimmee, with father Tim LaBo as Celebrant. Interment to follow with Full Military Honors accorded by Osceola County Veterans Council in Rose HIll Cemetery, Kissimmee.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Osceola High School athletics.
